Hungry Heart

I heard Hungry Heart on the radio recently on a long drive from Las Vegas to Steamboat Springs with my dad. It's been stuck in my head since then, and so I had to try it for the cover project. It was a little challenging, hence the almost two week break since the last one. Here's cover #5, Bruce Springsteen's Hungry Heart.

This Week

I'm running late on recording this week's cover. I hope to have it done by Friday. Stay tuned...

As I Went Out One Morning

Week # 3 of the cover project: As I Went Out One Morning by Bob Dylan. Another very famous man, but not one of his best known songs. I've always been drawn to it though.

As I Went Out One Morning

There aren't any good videos of this song that I could find, but here's one anyway. It serves the purpose of hearing the original recording from the John Wesley Harding album.

Love In Mind

Week # 3 of the cover project: Love In Mind by Neil Young. Pretty famous dude, not so famous song. Though this may sound like a standard Neil Young acoustic slow jam, the original is actually played on the piano. Since I have been doing all piano so far, I thought I'd take a break and use the guitar. I hope you like it.

Love In Mind

If you don't know the original, here is a lovely live video from 1971.

Bastards of Young

Week # 2 of the cover project: Bastards of Young by The Replacements. This song is not nearly as famous as last week's, but hopefully a lot of you know it. If not, I hope you'll enjoy it anyway, and check out the original. It's a great tune and a classic MTV video.

She Loves You

My brother had the idea that I should record and post one cover song every week. I liked the idea, and so I'm doing it. Here is the first song of the project. It's "She Loves You" by The Beatles, and I hope you like it.
